The Baguio City
                     It is above the mountain peaks of Benguest Province, Baguio is 254 kms. north of Manila.It is the chief city of Northern Luzon. Its altitude ranges from 950 to 1650 m. while its average elevation is 5,000 ft. above sea level. Baguio is bounded on the north by Benguet's municipality of La Trinidad, on the East by Itogon, and Tuba on the south and west.                    Baguio was declared a chartered city "Summer Capital of the Philippines" with The Mansion as the residence of the American governor-general during the summer to escape Manila's heat. The Philippine Commission held it's session in Baguio City, in the area on top of what is now known as Session Road.

For climbing enthusiasts, there are a few indoor climbing facilities where you can keep dry on rainy days or simple hone your skills before heading into the mountains. Once you've finished practicing indoors, there's some great potential for outdoor climbing in the Philippines. Mount Pulog dominates the view between Baguio and Ambuklao and at 2,934 metres above sea level, is the second highest mountain in the country. The trek up this mountain begins on a path that winds through the alpine grassland and then continues through highland meadows and forests with low trees. Don't forget your camera, as you'll get some wonderful photo opportunities.

River trekking is growing in popularity and can add extra excitement to an ordinary trek. Balance and agility are important skills for this sport, as trekking through rivers can mean getting wet. The Baguio area has some excellent river trails to explore.

Going on a horse or pony ride is a popular activity for children and there are some good options for this activity in Baguio. The best two places for riding are Wright Park or Camp John Hay. At weekends or during school holidays it can get pretty busy at these places, making arranging a riding excursion during the week a good idea. There are also possibilities for more extensive pony treks at Mines View Park or Outlook drive.

Wright Park is an awesome tourist spot in the Philippines located in Baguio. One of the most visited tourist spots attraction in Baguio city the summer capital of the Philippines. It was named after the architect, Governor Luke E. Wright (who ordered architect Daniel Burnham to build Baguio as a recreational facility for American soldiers and civilians). Wright Park also known as the 'Pool of Pines' a shoal slendered rectangular man-made pool of water. Wright Park is located at the eastern part of baguio city and it is infront of the Mansion. Wright Park main features are the elongated rectangular body of water known as the "Pool of Pines"

2.Burnham Park

Burnham Park is an 32.84 hectare urban park located at the heart of the City of Baguio, in the Philippines. It was named after the
American architect and urban planner, Daniel Hudson Burnham who laid the plans for the city.[1] Several stretch of roads around the park lead to Camp John Hay, a former recreational base of the United States Armed Forces in thePhilippines.
At the southern part of the park, a skating rink was constructed. The Melvin Jones Grand Stand and Football Field at the eastern part of the park are normally used for several activities like parades, concerts, and political rallies. The Children's Park and the Orchidarium is located at the western part of the park. There are also bike rentals if one so wishes. You can rent either single bikes, tandem bikes or even bikes with side cars. They even have small bikes for the little kids of both two and three wheel versions.

3.The Mansion

If you go up the stone steps you will come to Mansion House.  Mansion House is the official Summer residents of the Philippine President, as it gives a cool places to work and to meet over sea visitors. The main gates are an exact replica of the gates at Buckingham Palace in London. Alss at the top of the hill you can buy locally made souvenirs to take home.






 4.Baguio Cathedral

Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral, better known as Baguio Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedrallocated at Cathedral Loop adjacent to Session Road in Baguio City, the Philippines, and is the see of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baguio. Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Atonement, its distinctive pink exterior, twin spires and stained glass windows make it a popular tourist attraction in Baguio.[1] It served as an evacuation centre under the Japanese Occupation during Second World War.
